The SRV05-4 is a device from the PRO7 series that is specifically designed to safeguard high-speed data interfaces such as USB 2.0, Firewire, DVI, and gigabit Ethernet from transient events such as electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and lightning strikes.
It features eight surge-rated, low-capacitance steering diodes and a TVS diode that efficiently redirects transients to either the positive side of the power supply line or to the ground during transient conditions. The internal TVS diode further prevents over-voltage on the power line, thus safeguarding downstream components.
With its low typical capacitance of 3pF and virtually no insertion loss up to 1GHz, this device ensures minimal signal distortion, preserving the integrity of high-speed data transmission. Its low inductance construction minimizes voltage overshoot during high-current surges.
The SRV05-4 is ideal for protecting four high-speed data or transmission lines and meets the stringent ESD immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-2, Level 4 (±15kV air, ±8kV contact discharge), making it a reliable choice for applications demanding robust transient protection.
